Our firm possesses extensive experience in college athletics, professional sports, and a variety of media, sponsorship, and event transactions. We have assisted clients in many varied aspects of the sports industry, both acting as outside counsel as well as serving in a business and legal capacity for a sports marketing and consulting firm.

We have represented sports organizations and properties, agencies, and event hosts in diverse matters ranging from multimedia and sponsorship rights to event and venue agreements. Our work has included developing strategies, consulting, structuring transactions, and drafting and negotiating contracts. Examples of these representations include:

  • College and university athletic departments, in licensing of aggregated or “bundled” multimedia and marketing rights (including Requests for Proposals (RFPs) on multimedia and marketing rights), and in structuring and negotiating multimedia rights transactions, sponsorship agreements, and event and venue agreements
  • College conferences, in structuring, reviewing, and negotiating media rights agreements, including linear television and digital network agreements, RFPs for site hosting of conference championships and tournaments, sponsorship agreements, and event and venue agreements
